About Barbara Hayes
Barbara creates her works of art using the mediums of pencil, acrylics and oils. She loves to paint landscapes, flowers and persons of interest.
Barbara developed her love of art at an early age, a gift from God that has allowed her to express her thanks for the blessing through her spiritual works of art. She remembers fondly creating her very first sketches using brown paper bags as her canvas. She has since moved to fine artist papers and canvas to produce her work.
Earning her very first artist award for the painting entitled Lead Paint, which was presented by the former mayor of Boston, Mayor Kevin H. White. This led to her being commissioned to paint two murals for the Little Zion Church of God in Christ including a portrait of the Senior Pastor.
Barbara\'s work, The Last Unicorn, adorns the wall of one of the homes of the late and former United States Surgeon General and Secretary of Health, Julius B. Richmond, M.D.
Barbara resides in Avon, Massachusetts.
